Welcome to the
Washington State Transit Association

Please use the links at the left to explore our site. We encourage you to become a member and gain the many benefits our members enjoy.

The Washington State Transit Association is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit corporation, representing 29 transit systems in the state. Our associate members (approximately 25) include state and local agencies and organizations, vendors, and consultants--those companies which provide services and products to the transit industry--as well as interested individuals.

The mission of the Washington State Transit Association is to shape, ignite, and inspire decisions that promote public transportation as a vital element of the communities we serve.

Our key purpose is to promote and enhance public transit for the citizens of the state of Washington by promoting legislation beneficial to public transit; promoting and enhancing the professional development of transit management within the state; and promoting awareness, trust, and support for public transit.

Therefore, WSTA advocates legislation beneficial to public transit, fosters the professional growth and development of transit management, and publicizes transit's accomplishments.

WSTA is staffed by Geri Beardsley, Executive Director; Megan Abbott, Member Services Manager; Wendi Hill, Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper, and Amanda Sargent, Secretary/Receptionist.

WSTA staff is happy to provide
information and answer questions.
