About the Committee
The WSTA Facilities Maintenance Committee was approved by the WSTA Board of Directors in late 2013 and had it's first official meeting in October of 2014. Committee participation will be open to facilities management professionals of our member agencies.
Committee Goals & Objectives
The Committee's main purpose is to solidify the facilities maintenance community through facilities maintenance program establishments, safety standards, and recommending best practice standards to develop the best facilities maintenance management. establishing standards of facilities maintenance and safety which develop the best products for the public. By participating in meetings, members will be able to exchange information, procedures and ideas, improve safety, reliability, and efficiency and effectiveness of facilities operations, reduce costs of maintenance facility operations, improve customer and employee comfort and encourage the development of new and improved facilities technologies.
The Committee is currently lead by Committee Chair Mark Kallas of Intercity Transit. The Vice Chair of the Committee is Todd Daniel of Link Transit. The Secretary is Bruce McCaw of Valley Transit.
