About the Committee

The WSTA Information Services (IS) Committee formed in 2008 and meets quarterly. The mission of the WSTA IS Committee is to promote technology use and encourage best practices, collaboration, cooperation and communication amongst transit agencies. Any member of WSTA engaged in information technology is eligible to participate on the committee. Multiple participants from each agency are encouraged.

Committee Goals & Objectives

The Committee is a peer support system for transit technology professionals to share knowledge, expertise, and lessons learned. Members often  share experiences to solve common problems within transit agencies and work to leverage economies of scale wherever possible.

Committee Leadership

The IS Committee is currently led by Committee Chair Chris Chidley of Skagit Transit and Vice Chair Joe Brouilette of Link Transit.
