About the Committee
The Operations Committee was formed in 1986 and meets three times per year to discuss transit operational issues. Meetings are held at different host transit properties in March and October of each year and as a segment of the annual Washington State Public Transportation Conference in August. This committee is one of our largest and most active committees.

Committee Goals & Objectives
Operations of a transit agency are very important; without the operations department, there would be no one to drive the buses, plan the routes and oversee that it all runs smoothly and efficiently for the public. This committee discusses current issues such as rules and regulations for CDL drivers, paratransit issues, bus equipment, dispatch issues and policies and procedures within each agency.

Committee Leadership

The Committee is currently lead by the Chair Charlie Clarke of Salem-Keizer Transit, Vice Chair Sandy Sander of King County Metro and Secretary Tutti Compton of King County Metro.
