Message from WSTA President:

Welcome to Everett, gateway to the north Cascades.

Everett Transit is pleased to be the host transit agency for the 2017 Washington State Public Transportation Conference, Vendor Expo and Roadeo.  The first horse drawn trolley was put in to service in 1893 and Everett has enjoyed its own independent transit system ever since.  The City bought Everett Transit Lines in 1969 making it one of only four city-owned and operated transit properties in Washington.  Unlike many systems our size, we operate 7 days a week, 365 days a year and connect with our regional transit partners at Everett Station.

Everett has major hotels to serve you and a full-service event center where you can enjoy all the vendor displays, including vehicles, in climate controlled comfort.  The bus roadeo will be at Everett Community College adjacent to our new Washington State University expansion campus. Everett Transit will run frequent shuttle service to make sure you get to your destinations on time. Your event ID will be your ticket to ride anywhere Everett Transit goes during your stay.

Within a short walking distance of your hotel you will find a myriad of food choices including South American, Asian, Mexican, Southwest barbecue and an Irish pub.  Everett offers majestic water views to the west and mountain views to the east. Miles of trails for walking or biking run throughout the city. Bring your sneakers and have a good time.

Sincerely,

Tom Hingson
