About the Committee

The WSTA Transit Security Council (WSTA TSC), formed in 2003, meets quarterly to review transit security information in an effort to advise Washington State agencies about training opportunities and the standardization of report procedures, codes of conduct, security plans, crime-reduction methods, and police/judicial cooperation. 

Committee Goals & Objectives

The primary goal is a secure, resilient statewide transit system that leverages public awareness, technology and layered security programs while maintaining the safe and efficient flow of passengers in an operating environment that ensures employee safety and infrastructure security.

Committee Leadership

The Committee is currently lead by Chair - Captain Marcus Williams of King County Metro Transit Police, and Vice Chair - Vacant
