These positions require considerable expertise in the day-to-day management of fixed route, paratransit, shuttle service, and dial-a-ride operations.  The ideal candidate must be proficient in developing, forecasting, and managing multi-departmental operating and capital budgets, as well as taking on the role of leader and mentor for support staff. Excellent communications and organizational skills are required of all our General Managers, further each must be committed to a safety lifestyle. 
 
These positions require at least an undergraduate degree and five years of directly related “public transit” management experience.  Willingness to relocate may be a requirement for some positions.  Relocation packages are available.

The National Transit Institute (NTI) at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is looking for part-time, emergency service and law enforcement professionals with training experience to deliver and facilitate a wide range of safety, security, and preparedness courses. NTI is the Federal Transit Administration’s primary venue for front-line transit employee training, and has an ever-increasing repertoire of programs currently being delivered throughout the country.

Successful candidates must be familiar with the following topics:
•    Transit operations and maintenance
•    Safety and security
•    Emergency management and preparedness
•    Organizational development

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required. Five (5) years of experience in the aforementioned subject matter areas is desired. Candidates for these positions will be required to travel extensively throughout the United States.

CASTA is seeking a full-time Project Administrator. The ideal candidate is independent, pleasant, and highly organized. Responsibilities include: administering a variety of projects including training, membership, communications, resource library, conference requirements, and website updates, as well as telephone, email, copying, mailing and other office management duties. May include limited in-state travel. Other duties as assigned.
