Peter Thein
Executive DirectorPeter
joined WSTA in January of 2001. Working
with transit managers, transit lobbyists, the disability community, and those concerned
about a viable public transportation system in Washington, Peter has helped spread the
word on the state of public transportation in Washington State since the 2001 session.
Prior to working for WSTA, Peter was the
communications director for the No on I-745 campaign (Tim Eymans 90% to roads
initiative) which was defeated by 59%. Other
work experience includes several sessions as a legislative assistant for (then) State
Representatives Karen Keiser and Georgia Gardner and as a campaign manager for local
legislative candidates.

Michelle
Parvinen
Member Services Director
Michelle has worn many hats
since joining the Washington State Transit Association in 1990. Hired as a secretary, she
was promoted to program manager and worked to keep the association afloat.
Michelle has enjoyed the continuous growth
provided in her position at WSTA. Today Michelle serves as Member Services Director
and continues to be a steadfast team member, accepting new tasks with grace and pride.
Michelle eagerly and competently handles any job needing a creative touch. WSTA is much
richer for Michelle's contribution.

Wendi Hill 
Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper
Wendi accepted the position
of administrative assistant/bookkeeper on December 1, 2004. She brings to WSTA
administrative expertise gained during her employment with the Department of Revenue,
Department of Licensing, and Department of Corrections.
Wendi's positive attitude and outgoing
personality are definite assets to the association. Her attention to detail and
systematic approach makes her a vital member of the WSTA team.

Amanda Sargent
Secretary/Receptionist
Amanda is the newest member of the WSTA
team. She began work on April 27, 2007. Amanda most recently worked for Macy's
in Kelso, Washington. She will be assisting with various tasks around the office and
will be taking minutes for the WSTA Executive Committee meeting.
Amanda eagerly accepts any task that comes her way, provides
long awaited relief to the rest of the staff. We are thrilled to have Amanda as a
member of our team. Be sure to welcome her next time you stop by or call the WSTA
